Brand: Clinique



  • The BrandManager holds primary accountability for achieving brand sales, marketing andP&L (including NOP) targets for the Brand in the Affiliate, building on theproduct marketing management strength and elevating the consumer marketingapproach directly managing also Retail for the Brand.

  • He / She willwork closely with the affiliate General Manager and Regional Brand VicePresident to define strategy, set goals, drive the business, execute andimplement plans.

  • He/she will beresponsible of the alignment on Sales & Education Strategy for the Brandwith the Commercial Director.

  • He/She will beaccountable for the brand communication and media activation in alignment withGlobal and Regional brand guidelines and he/she will be also responsible forsocial media activation locally and content creation.

  • He/She will maintainappropriate communication within and between the different functional areas ofthe brand, within the region, and with headquarters.

Key PerformanceAreas:

  • Enhance Focuson “the consumer”;

  • Continuouslyimproves marketing activities developing a strong consumer engagement strategy;

  • Be responsibleof Brand Go-to-Market strategy;

  • Owns the fullBrand P&L;

  • Ensures anddevelop that brands image and position are properly maintained in accordance withcorporate standards.

  • Ensuresconsistent interpretation of brand global objectives and strategies;

  • Developsappropriate implementation of brand identity tools such as merchandisingguidelines, media positioning, advertising, product assortment, sales staffing,and store/ site selection (if required).

  • Collaborateswith GM and Regional Brand VP to identify opportunities for streamliningoperations, reducing costs, and implementing financial and managementtechnologies to enhance efficiency of brand operations;

  • Evaluatescompetitive challenges for brand and identifies local opportunities for growthand profit enhancement;

  • Analysescompetitive activity and trends in markets, customers, products, prices, andchannels;

  • ConductsP&L analysis;

  • Identifiesopportunities and risks, provides feedback to GM and Regional Brand VP, anddevelops recommendations and local initiatives to increase the business;

  • Manage andimprove KPI on Distribution channel.

  • Works with GMand regional Brand VPs to consider global brand objectives to set challengingyet attainable brand sales and profit goals for the affiliate;

  • Consider globalbrand guidelines and offerings to develop marketing and sales strategies tomaximize sell-through;

  • Collaborateswith consumer insights manager;

  • Develops andimplement plans for Marketing (incl. Merchandising) and Sales (in closecollaboration with Commercial Director);

  • Develops andimplements evolutionary and innovative trade-marketing models;

  • Collaborateswith Finance Manager, General Manager, and Regional Brand VP to set fiscalplans and monitor budgets;

  • Overseesforecasts to ensure planning accuracy and appropriate inventory levels.

  • Providesleadership, guidance, and management to brands staff including own Retail;

  • Acts withintegrity – honors commitments, takes responsibility for decisions, and behavesconsistently;

  • Establisheshigh workplace operating standards and values;

  • Works withGeneral Manager, Human Resource Manager and Managers to ensure appropriatestaffing and establish performance management and development initiatives;

  • Ensures brandtraining of all point-of-sale, area management, and office personnel incollaboration with the Education Department;

  • Maintainsappropriate communication within and between the different functional areas ofthe brand, within the region, and with headquarters.


  • Degree is essential - Business, Marketing or Finance

  • Minimum 10 yearsof marketing and sales experience, preferably in the luxury goods industry

  • Experience inP&L management

  • Strong Analyticalskills

  • Strategic mindplus strong hands-on operational temperament (field oriented)

  • Internationalmindset

  • Excellentorganizational skills – ability to work on multiple projects

  • Must have a basicunderstanding of the country’s economic, political, social, cultural, andbusiness landscape
