Position Summary:

Aveda, America’s premier creator and marketer of plant-based haircare, skincare, make-up, PureFume™ and lifestyle products seeks a Director of Sales to manage sales results and lead the sales team within the established territory to achieve sales growth across channels within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for partnering with Regional Executive Director to execute field sales strategy for Aveda North America

  • Deliver exceptional results against sales targets, NOP targets and manage P&L for established territory

  • Analyze and understand in detail the “why” behind the results and formulate action plans on how to accelerate

  • Develop collaborative business relationships with existing customers and potential business partners and act as key negotiator and communicator for territory

  • Review and execute accountability standards and benchmarks for territory sales team

  • Deliver timely and accurate forecasting for established territory

  • Grow the business strategically by leading the team to open sustainable new business doors

  • Identify and implement innovative best practices for the field

  • Attract and develop top talent with demonstrated sales capabilities to ensure sales objectives are achieved

  • Represent Aveda's Mission and brand identity to the Aveda network

Qualifications

Qualifications:

8 years of progressive sales experience

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree

Experience:

Demonstrated success as a leader within a multi-channel field sales environment

Strong leadership skills including strategic planning and an entrepreneurial business approach

An entrepreneurial spirit including the ability to make decisions as if the business were one’s own

Exceptional communication, leadership and organizational skills

Ability to align and engage team and network in growth strategies

Ability to think strategically and create strong growth and recovery plans

Ability to adapt quickly to meet the demands of the business

Strong financial acumen including the ability to create, understand and analyze financial and sales reports

Strong presentation skills including the ability to present to large audiences

Must possess a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance

Ability to travel, lift up to 30 pounds occasionally and to transport own luggage while traveling

Others:

Must live within 20 minutes within the assigned territory of Washington DC or Philadelphia, PA.
