Customer Service & Sales

Recruit new customers
Monitor competitor Brands
Provide welcoming, personal, professional service to all customers at all times.
Demonstrate effective communication skills, listen to the customer, ask questions, investigate preferences and make the experience interactive.
Suggest groups of appropriate products and colours to meet and exceed customer’s needs.
Perform professional and appropriate makeup applications to achieve the look the customer desires.
Obtain customer data for CRM system or other client list as required and keep updated
Meet your individual responsibility for your appropriate contribution to the team’s goals in terms of service, sales and company objectives.
Adhere to current “good counter practices” e.g. – Pre-booking
Pull customers from floor for Smashbox make up lesson
Give great internal customer service and develop good working relationships with colleagues.
Be punctual and manage time on counter effectively.
Keep informed about products, company information and store information.
Actively participate in events and new product launches and ensure 100% sell through within 6 weeks
Actively participate in Smashbox training sessions and partnered store mandatory training sessions.
Inform customers timeously about promotions & events
Ensure all sales are recorded according to standard
All customer returns to be handled according to policy
Ensure in store promotions are organised effectively and timeously
Ensure that attendance is punctual and professional
Ensure personal hygiene levels are at a high standard
Ensure discontinued stock is removed
Ensure cleaning tools, testers are stocked and in good condition
Ensure display is per merchandising guideline
Assist in Inventory Management
Assist daily in stock and hygiene supplies replenishment and maintain appropriate levels throughout the day.
Communicate low on stock and out of stocks to the Retail Manager.
Assist in the proper rotation of stock
Ensure there is sufficient stock for all promotions
Maintaining work environment
Actively participate in cleaning displayer units, tools and testers throughout the day, and more thoroughly at night to prepare for next day’s business.
Maintain tester units in proper schematic order
Replace any broken or damaged products authorized by Manager.
Maintain proper placement and condition of merchandise on counter, in stock rooms and all stock holding areas.
Inform management of any store maintenance or Health and Safety issues which might lead to accidents.
Assist with inventory counts.
Be responsible for booking lessons.
Adhere to proper security procedures regarding handling of cash and assets.
Weekly top SKU counts
Record all sales on a daily basis
Consolidate sales records weekly and then monthly as per required standard
Ensure stock counts are done monthly and recorded timeously
Ensures reports are submitted accurately and timeously
HR reporting as per HR deadlines
Beauty Certificate or similar
Retail Cosmetics Experience
Ability to work retail hours
